Factory Terminal

A Factory Terminal is a player-crafted and placed structure object unique to SWG Nexus. It allows players to operate factories directly from inside their own houses or player-owned structures instead of requiring a separate factory building on a city lot. This significantly reduces travel time and saves city lots.

Factory Terminals were introduced as a Nexus-exclusive feature.

 

Background

Factory conversion kits are highly illegal items smuggled by various Cartels. Their exact origin is unknown, and the technology required to reproduce them does not currently exist in the galaxy. Because of this, the kits are only available on the black market.

Using a conversion kit on a factory deed transforms the deed into a compact Factory Terminal that can be installed inside player housing.

 

Obtaining a Factory Terminal

1. Acquire a Factory Conversion Kit from the black market.
2. Obtain a regular factory deed of the desired type (Food, Clothing, Structure, or Weapon).
3. Follow the conversion process below.
 

How to Install a Factory Terminal

1. Drop the factory deed inside a house or structure that you own and select it.
2. Open your inventory.
3. Right-click (or click) the Factory Conversion Kit.
4. Select Option 1 — “Convert factory deed”.
5. A new Factory Terminal will appear in your inventory.
6. Drop the terminal in the desired location inside the structure.
7. Activate (use) the terminal to install and initialize it.

Once installed and activated, the terminal functions as a full factory.
 

Mechanics and Notes

• Lot Usage: Factory Terminals do **not** consume an extra city lot.
• Maximum per House: You may own up to **5 Factory Terminals** in a single house.
• Building Limits: The total number of active terminals a building can support is limited by the number of lots the house/structure uses.
• Maintenance Cost: An active Factory Terminal draws additional maintenance from the house equal to **half** of the terminal’s idle maintenance cost.

Movement & Removal:

• Terminals cannot be picked up once placed and activated.
• They can be moved within the same room.
• To remove or relocate a terminal to another structure, you must first **uninstall** it.
